saw him 2 years ago he was awesome walking with a cane then believe he said he’d had a stroke, he signed after the show, wonderful to talk to him. RIP rock & roll heaven.

Ron, I ran out of space so I’m back again. I can’t begin to tell you how much it means to me to have you post all these videos. As an RN, I knew it didn’t look too good this time but I kept praying things would improve. I didn’t find out until this afternoon what had happened. You have done such a wonderful job posting all these vidoes & I love you for it. It means more than I can say. I’ve cried all day I miss him so much. I grew up with them. Ron, Thanks so very much for this. I am absolutely heart broken as I am sure so many others are too. I feel like I’ve lost my older brother. I have gotten so much pleasure from Rob & The Grass Roots during these 40t years. I’ll never forget him. At least he isn’t suffering any longer & we will all see him again someday. I just pray that God will comfort his wife, Nancy & she will feel all the love of his fans supporting her. Thank you again for all the great videos you’ve posted, Rhonda

Rob Grill had a great soul rock pop voice. I get tired of most ‘one lead singer’ groups after about 2 songs, but his Grass Roots stuff never gets anything but good.

I saw the announcement today on Chuck Negron’s page…..this is so sad! Rob was the first “rock star” I ever had a crush on!! :-} I saw the Grass Roots in concert in 1971 & I still listen to them to this day…..time is passing too quickly!! Thanx for this post!

@BestMusicExpert- his health has been declining recently. Last year he had a collapsed lung and pneumonia. Recently he fell and hit his head I believe. While in the hospital he had two strokes. He was in a coma and passed away on 7/11/2011. God Bless you Rob and R.I.P. !
