@Faeden Yes and no. He was very intelligent and loved to read and write which differs greatly from most teens today but at the same time jim was all about causing trouble. Here’s a quote of his to support my opinion. “I am interested in anything about revolt, disorder, chaos-especially activity that seems to have no meaning. It seems to me to be the road toward freedom… Rather than starting inside, I start outside and reach the mental through the physical.”

Must be hard for the family to talk about loosing him.
When I was a teen and read No One Here Gets Out Alive and I learned that Jim loved to read a lot. That had a life long influence on me. I’m 41 and read 2 books a month.
I’m glad Jim was here only if it was for a little while….

@reznorfan15 agreed. It’s amazing to me that men of the Admiral’s generation seem completely unable to emote, but you can just tell the guy cares and thinks highly of, even misses, his son, if only in a distant way. He seems like a nice man to boot.

The sadness in his father’s eyes right at the end reflects the pain he felt at his son’s death (and this notwithstanding that military stoicism); similarly his gentle sister guards herself every now and then when the grief comes up; it is obvious that he was from a noble family, intelligent, sensitive people. It does help us to learn more about Jim Morrison; in paraphrase, a good citizen, and a good man to know, not just for his family, but through his works, the whole world.

this is amazing, jims sister obviously loved her brother but how sad for jim he never had his parents luv or support especially his dads. how that must of haunted him his whole life. the sadest part was his dad saying jim was someone you’d want to know, yet he didnt know him at all. when he said that i think he was referring to himself.also loved how jim skipped school to go read & kids today go to the mall. how can anyone judge this genius of a man. you are so loved & s missed Jim. RIP angel
