@7cupsofcoffee uuhhhh, no actually. I’m sorry you read into that so negatively. I wasn’t trying to imply that I have “great” stage presence or all the greatness I attributed to Conor. Just that I can relate to his awkwardness. And he happens to be a great songwriter etc… who is awkward.

I know I am only staring at a computer screen but watching this makes me feel more involved. It’s a tad scary. I really do hope I can meet you all in real life someday. I know the music I heard in Columbus was real but I couldn’t see any of you from where I was standing. Perhaps in Brooklyn we can meet.

the reason this is so awkward is cause connor isnt used to this. He’s used to being out of the spotlight, which is why alot of people don’t know about bright eyes. They are rarely played on tv or radio up until this album. I’ve heard a few of the singles on the radio and the videos are played alot now. I kinda feel like he “sold out” in a sense just because this is the last album (not sold out, but tried getting a little more attention I guess to go out with a bang or something).

Ahh I tried on three separate ocassions to see Bright Eyes this year and every attempt was thwarted. Whether it was because the tickets were purchased for the wrong Portland, were sold out in Vancouver , or our ride broke down exactly at the midway point to Calgary for May 25 I was unable to go. Talk about the gods being against me. Ah well, at least there is youtube! Ps love Nate Walcott, MM and Conor Oberst.

As soon as I heard this album I thought: “Wow, this is the Bright Eyes that I fell in love with to begin with” I love the new album and I am hoping this isn’t the last one. Conor said at the concer in Kansas City that we would see him again. So, I hope he isn’t lying otherwise, I’ll be quite sad. Anyway, record is amazing, and the concert was SUPER amazing. Keep making music.
