@putteringpluie I don’t really understand why you’re “asking”, but my guess is that it was done to show that the song/video is not simply about a couple, it’s about love, all the variables that come with it, and how you react to it.
Love for itself, parents loving their children, teenagers, married people, the loving feeling towards someone who is not even born, or someone who has passed on…
It shows that love is a common feeling, regardles of your social status, age, shape, or color. -

I don’t get what’s so special about the video.. It’s nice, but is what they’re listening to special, or just the fact that there are some same-sex couples? Is it a music video? I honestly can’t tell :S I guess is sweet that the people are happy, but “the sweetest video ever!”… not really.

@nottingham45a : You just proved Eisenstein’s montage theory! He was probably just thinking about what groceries to buy, but because it’s edited together with clips of happy couples, we naturally think he’s lonely.
Eisenstein proved this by using one shot of a man looking off camera with a neutral expression. When it was followed by a shot of some food on the table, people said that the man looked hungry. When it was followed by a shot of a funeral, people said he looked sad.
